Stress – noun – a state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or very demanding circumstances.
The added stress of world events is becoming too much for many people to cope with.
As we get closer to the end of 2020, the possibilities for 2021 are terrifying. The Spy vs. Spy mentality of our politics is set in stone. It’s not going away any time soon. The 51% feels they have a mandate. It’s time to reshape America into some image they found in a text book. That only works in the imaginations of self important academics who lived about 100 years ago. They didn’t live in the real world back then, WTF could they know about us and what’s best for us?
Did you ever notice, in all those portrayals of agitators for Communism and Socialism from back in the day in books and movies, were not workers, or farmers or laborers? They were college students who had way to much free time to spend telling others how smart they were and only they knew what was best for the “working man”. The superiorly educated white guy will save the dumb unwashed masses from themselves! And all you have to do is put and keep us in power. Everything else is taken care of for you. At the highest levels.
Unfortunately, or fortunately, these things are doomed to fail. No matter how beautifully sexy it appears on paper, the decisions are still made by the same breed of politicians as we have now. The ones who don’t give a fuck about us.
