Ministry of Inquiry, Review and Accountability – MIRA

The mission of MIRA is to keep our Government in line and prevent politicians and beurocrats from abusing their positions of trust as servents of We the People. Review past and future laws, procedures and actions by the Government for adherence to The Constitution 2.0. To keep the Government accountable and arbitrate disputes between parties at multiple levels. 

The core of the MIRA team is to staffed with people designated on the ASD Spectrum as High Functioning Autistic, Asperger’s Syndrome and select Low Functioning Austistic, if their gift and temperament are suitable. Of course Neuro-Typical people are welcome. 

For this to work as planned, especially in the absence of Constitution 2.0, impartiality is paramount. There is no better example of impartiality than someone hardwired to think logically, objectively, lives for the minutiae and pretty much couldn’t give two shits about the rest of the world around them. As for the folks higher up the spectrum. Can you imagine how someone who had memeroized the important information on every Civil rights case ever tried in every court in every state as well as federal? Everyone has a talent and a purpose. Most of us never get the two together. That’s something we need to work on in this country. 

I’m a Warhammer 40,000 fan. If you are familiar then you know where I am about to go. I tried to find a better name but I had to have the I for my acronym to work. And it sounds bad ass and will definitely keep politicians in line. 

Division 1 – The Inquisition 

The Inqisitors, like in 40k, are given free reign to investigate claims, rumors, etc of Governmental misdeeds (heresy) and corruption. However, unlike in 40k, strict adherence to Constitution 2.0 is mandatory. Since the Inqisitors are all HFA, impartiality and adherence are pretty much guaranteed. 

Division Two – The Review Board

This division is charged with streamlining Government, making it more accessible for citizens, more efficient and user friendly and combing through the millions of redundant, out of date and just plain stupid laws, codes, regulations and piles of bullshit that our Government has created over the last 250 years. 

Division Three – Division of Accountability and Standards

This division contains multiple sub-divisions. 

Division of Arbitration – Charged with settling disputes concerning adherence to C2.0 at all levels. Different branches to handle various areas. Government, business, social, etc.

The Local Arbitrators – These are street level operators who not only settle issues concerning adherence to C2.0 but also settle civil disputes between citizens, complaints regarding law enforcement or local governments and businesses. These people will live in their communities and coordinate Government services unique to their area. These are not law enforcement officers. More like peace officers in the old west. 

Division of Standards – Charged with setting standards in regards to adherence to C2.0. Standards for equality and efficiency are needed to ensure a clearly defined goal and how to make it happen. Not 5 million opinions from internet experts or votes bought and paid for by big business and wealthy donors. 

While at the initial implementation stage and the first years staffing would have to be as I outlined previously. It won’t be enough to sustain for long, there will be lots of positions to fill. 

One critically serious tragedy of our society is appalling number of poor children born into a losing situation. Doomed to failure before they are even born. 

My solution for this is to set up boarding schools for these kids. Obviously we can’t trust our current government to not fuck this up, so C2.0 is a must for this to work as planned. Give them a quality education up to an 2 year degree for everyone. Then depending on what position within MIRA they choose and are suited to, advanced specialized education up to an including Doctorates. These kids will be charged with objectively and impartially enforce C2.0. After a period of service dictated by their position they are free to enter civilian life and be all they can be. Have families, become community leaders or write the Great American novel. Or stay on at their current position or get more training and move up the ladder. Aside from staffing MIRA with the right people for lots of jobs, we have provided kids who were born with no opportunity at all and given them opportunity up to their eyeballs. 

This is obviously a rough draft but it solves a few problems with solutions that might actually benefit We the People and not just politicians.
