On this week’s episode of As the Pendulum Swings. LJ makes preparations, Left leaning citizens rejoice for some reason and those on the right will begin to feel like picked on kids in high school. Hopefully they won’t act like picked on kids in high school.

My wife, God bless her heart, is a The Washington Football Team Formerly Named The R#@$k! ň§ fan. I, myself, am a recovering sports fan. Eight years as a Chef in a sports bar put an end to that. I will never understand their fans. Their loyalty and ferocity in the face of detractors is admirable. And ludicrous, maybe even borderline plaid. It reminds me of trying to break out of a toxic relationship.

“Come on baby, give us one more chance! I promise, this time it will be better. I swear I’ll change, you’ll see.”

And time after time after time. It’s the same thing. Everything is great at first. For two whole weeks.

Then it turns to shit.

Again.

We the People continually voting in the same politicians year after year is the same thing. Never-ending promises made and broken. Constant denials and finger pointing. Fancy words used to make it seem not as bad.

“Yes, I f#©ked her! We f#©ked! But baby, I make love to you.”

You wouldn’t take this shit from your bf/gf/so/platonic life partner. Why are you taking it from a stranger who doesn’t know you or want to know you and is only out for themselves?

And in our next scene….

Our friends on the left, the ones who think they are on the left but our U. S. Left is really right of center for the rest of the world (which is funny to me, they are only leftists in their own heads) and our friends who are actually left of center, are rejoicing nowadays. The Trump has been defeated, we now return you to your regularly scheduled pogram, already in progress. It’s time to get back to work pretending to cater to everyones demands while doing nothing. The other side does pretty much the same thing, but they have better denialability. They are all about personal responsibility, so it’s our fault we fail. Not theirs.

As the Pendulum picks up momentum as it swings back to the left. The powers that be are doing what they can to push it farther than ever before. They created uncertainty and upheaval with their mismanagement of COVID-19, flamed the fires of racial intolerance and divided We the People in ways the likes of have not been seen since the great over/under toilet paper debate of 1921.

Never let a good crisis go to waste.

Now is the time for them to present themselves as our only greatest hope for the country to be what they want it to be. With them at the top of the pyramid.
