Time, the most valuable intangible object in the Universe. Time is money, most of We the People have very little of either, much less free time. We the People are working two jobs just to pay the rent, in the best of times. It’s not the best of times, right now. Normally We the People would be getting up at 6am to get the kids ready for school, then heading to the day job. An hour or so between jobs to get the kids from aftercare then to Mom’s so she can watch them while we are at night job. Pick up the kids around midnight, then home, baths and bed.
It doesn’t leave much time to educate yourself and be an informed, participating citizen.
The powers that be know this and count on it so they can promise the world. And blame the other side when they don’t do shit.
You know who has free time? College students. Those lucky ones who don’t have to squeeze college into their already full schedule. The ones who are taught that they are the only ones who can save the world. But what world are they saving? They don’t live in the same world as most of We the People.
You know who now has some unwanted, unneeded and unhealthy free time? All of us who jobs have been slowed down, shut down or just pain disappeared. Use this time to learn yourself sumthin’. Become educated to the ways our leaders are bending us over. You wouldn’t tolerate it from the people around you who know you. Why take it from people who couldn’t care less about you?
