So many problems to be solved in this area. Any political bias aside, any cop who at this point in time continues to be extra with black folks should be terminated. Immediately, if not sooner.
If you as a law enforcement officer who can not process what’s going on in our society and make the ever so simple decision that maybe, just maybe I should skip showing my fellow officers how “no nonsense” I can be. Then you are definitely part of the problem.
The LEAA will take that decision off of your hands and make it for you.
We definitely have the tech and if anyone bitches about cost. Tell them to have a bake sale. All officers will be fitted with a tamper resistant body cam that automatically starts up as soon as officer leaves his car. The body cam will be hooked into the cars dash cam. All data will be sent encrypted to the Ministry of Civilian Oversight for secure storage and access if needed.
I can’t believe there is an officer anywhere who isn’t making sure his body cam is on. If nothing, just to cover their own assess.
And remember, if you aren’t doing anything wrong. You have nothing to worry about.
