Law of Unintended Consequences or “We didn’t think this through very far. Did we? At least we meant well.

One of my favorite things is to find the unintended, unthought of and/or unwanted results of an action or whatever. That way you can’t get caught off guard.

A long while back in the early days of the new melinium I wrote an essay on the other things, besides not wasting billions of We the People’s tax money, by ending the War on Drugs.

Good things would be, an honest and unflinching look at addiction and everything that relates to that. Young black men not sentenced to felony time for peddling pot.

Bad thing #1 – not only would thousands of law enforcement workers be out of work but this would affect the entire community where they live. And since those folks really don’t make much salary wise, they are definitely part of the U50 team. So that makes it our problem.

Thousands of highly motivated corner boys and their middle management will be out of work. And a misdirected revenue center for We the People dries up, only to be taken over and taxed by the Government.

Keep thinking up ways to improve the world but never forget that the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
