It’s hard not to judge people. We are very judgemental creatures. Accepting this fact, I try to keep my judgment of people to things like if you use select-a-size paper towels or don’t have gap insurance or a home warranty. You know, important societal issues. Not silly things like skin tone or past fuck ups.
One big obstacle we need to address how we view and judge the past from our modern “enlightened” perspective. As we have progressed as a culture, of course looking back at the past at our silliness and stupidity and think “how did we ever survive?”
I don’t know either but we did. And just like the 2 time felon desperately trying to prove he has changed and worth another shot, we shouldn’t judge him harshly on his past and work for his better future, We shouldn’t judge the people of The Past. Just the ones who aren’t trying for a better future.
