I love political ambiguity. Take this statement, Make America Great, Again. Most people’s first retort is “was America ever great?” That answer is yes indeed. We are just lost in the darkness. Were we great for the same reasons as people want to make us great again. I seriously doubt it.
Reasons we were great in the past could be best education system on the world. The baby boomers received the finest education the world could provide in the post war generation. And now they are in charge, we have the fastest dropping spot on the world chart of countries that are not dumbasses. Thanks Grandpa.
Or maybe the progress we made in civil rights from Emancipation right up to the sixties. Then it stopped. Almost dead it seems by today’s rhetoric. Slowed to a crawl while they were in college and the choke hold applied when they got elected politicians for life. All the while promising us the world and delivering a shit sandwich. 45 minutes late. Thanks Grandma
Industry, yeah we did that. Well. Until that self destruct Ed or was slowly killed off so big business could move jobs to China where slavery is still ok. And I thought they were Communists.
America was great. For millions of reasons to millions of We the People for their own personal reasons. It still is, but our society has brainwashed to see the negative aspects of everything. Especially the dreaded THEY. You know? THEY are responsible for your problems. THEY will have relations with your daughters.
In what ways do you want to make America great again? Most intolerant? Most gullible? Most corrupt? Most backwards ass Government? Let us know!
How are you going to go about making us great, again? Will you educate the people instead of dooming them to mental slavery? Will you build real bridges between cultures or ones you can blow up as you leave us behind? Will you justify hate as long as it’s considered “free speech”? Or will you shut down the voice of the opposition by internet shaming and censorship?
And before we can even get started on deciding any of that we need to do one important thing.
