The 2nd biggest issue facing real change.

I have a saying that I came up with a long while ago.

“I always feel like I am banging my head against a brick wall. Continually smash my head against this seemingly unmovable object. I keep at it because I know deep down in my gut that eventually one of us is going to break. And one time it won’t be me.”

One of the major roadblocks We the People face is persistence. We have fire and passion but we have a problem with burning out early. But that’s what you get with lots of fire and passion but no direction or focus. Our society as a whole has a crippling case of ADD. To much instant gratification addiction. The here today, old news tomorrow media controls how we get information and fans the flames of ignorance or suppresses what doesn’t sell ad space. Add in the AlGoreRythm constantly reinforcing what you have already agree with, no contrary opinions allowed.

This is a turtle race. A marathon relay. Start out with a sprint and then you settle into your groove and press on. The events of the summer were our sprint. Now we pace ourselves until it’s time to sprint to the finish.

We the People must hold the course. Educate yourself and others. Think critically about what we are being told. Do not believe anything a politician says as at best a half truth if any truth at all. Call the out, put ’em blast, call bullshit and make them drink.

Do you know people who are of the opposing party? If they make less than 50 grand a year, they are your friends not food.

We the People can do this. We work disgustingly long hours with two jobs. 6 days a week. We know all about determination and doing what we got to do to survive. It’s easy to hold the line when you don’t have the free time to get antsty and demand complicated change Now! If not sooner. Time to burn out your fire and go running off after the next shiny object. Oops I mean social issue of the moment.

We do have time to learn, to think, to talk to the We the People around you. So let’s get to it. Go Us!
