Preconceived notions and expectations are not ingredients in this recipe.

When trying a recipe for the first time people have the habit of expecting it to taste just like Mom’s or Gramma’s or look just like the box. It’s doomed to fail. It rarely lives up to our expectations.

I always try to start with a clear head and open heart. I assess my ingredients. I picture what I envision the dish to be.

In a similar fashion we must look at societal change, drop our preconceived notions of what we think is best for us and start envisioning what is best for everyone and tastes the best going down .
