One of my major duties as Chef is to protect my cooks from the idiocy of management and owners. Owners are the worst. Especially owners who used to be bartenders. Nobody talks to my cooks but me or my sous chef. Period. To perform at their best they can’t be destracted by “emergency” orders for the bosses friends. Basically I protect them from the Bullshit.
In similar fashion, the Government should protect We the People from the Bullshit, so We the People can perform at our best. Protect us from predators, both foreign and domestic, Corporate or religious. So We the People can achieve life, liberty and pursue all the happiness we can catch. In a level fair playing field.
Not collude with Big Business to doom We the People to decades of consumer slavery.
