I’m willing to make this statement with a high degree of confidence.
The people who are violently anti-gun. Not the “I don’t like guns so I don’t own one” crowd. That’s the way to be. But the overly extreme “why would anybody want to own a gun” “the police are here to protect us” “ban everything that even looks like a gun” people. These people live in a place where you don’t need a gun. They probably leave their doors unlocked at night, in their gated community. Protected from us.
Or…..
They know that the right to bear arms also gives us the right to revolt against tyrannical governments. If they weren’t busy demonizing the Founders Fathers, they might have learned a little about this.
A tyrannical government would want us distracted by seemingly unsolvable problems. Unsolvable because the parties involved want it that way. And while we are bickering amongst ourselves over “what is a militia” or “what are arms” they are fucking us. Then taking away one more way to hold the government accountable.
I myself have many dreams for We the People. On the way to the mountain top I dream that one day the Government will be held to the same standards as it holds for We the People and cease to be feared and distrusted by the very citizens it was created to protect.
