I know the interwebs is cock full of “fact checking”. On theory this is a much needed thing. Anyone can make a fancy website and put their Piece of Shit in a Shiny Virtual Box. Anybody with a smart phone can make their bullshit look like facts.

What We the People really could use is a Usefulness Checker. It would check to see how useful a piece of legislation or a government service truly is. All these people creating laws and taxes to fund services to help We the People and things are only getting worse. Never better. Or at least not for We the People.
I remember recently the “if you don’t have a vagina you shouldn’t be making laws dealing with women’s reproductive issues” situation. It has its merits. But is it that none of the people making laws and deciding what is best for us. Have never been us. They don’t ask us? The academics do studies, decide they know what we need. Then blame other unknown factors for their failures.
You know what that unknown factor is? Life experience in the real world. Our world.
Not 20 to 50 years in Academia or Politics.
The real world, where We the People live. You know them? The folks at whose consent you govern? We are watching.
Ok, back to the Usefulness Checker.
We could judge the merits of the idea. Where it’s gonna fuck up from our perspective. How they could make it work. Or if it’s just a bunch of bullshit that’s only going to benefit the rich. Once it has been deemed worthy or unworthy, we then tell EVERYONE. In person, online or strongly wordered emails. Let the politicians know that we have figured them out and are watching them. They can’t double speak their way out of this. We are no longer the uninformed ignorant proletariat that you have grown accustomed to abusing. We have technology on our side, we grew up in it, with it, immersed it. You are late to that party.
We are the future. You are not.
