I dump on politicians. A lot. It’s easy, too easy. Anyone who puts themselves on display like they do. Wearing skin tight transparent body stockings, talking about “Those aren’t lesions and boils! I had people do a study and the focus groups said most voters will accept that they are a non contagious rash or minor skin irritation. So that’s what we are going with. And pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.”
I feel anyone who deems themselves worthy of a leadership position should be challenged by those they wish to lead (I’m using lead in the broadest sense of the word. Subjugate just sets the wrong tone) until they have proven themselves.
Back on track
I know there are thousands of people out there who want to get involved in government and be part of change we can believe in! Make a difference! But if you want to play the game.
You got to kiss the ring. And sell your soul for 20 million pieces of silver. Or however much it takes to get “elected” now days. No matter how much a “good” person tries to maintain their integrity , in politics you either play or get played. It ain’t bean bag. And thus you become part of the problem. Just like those who tried before you.
Our two party system is as broke and non functional as one 57 Chevrolet Bellaire in 15 boxes, 3 bags and a coffee can. Yeah sure, it’s a classic. And yes technically it is all there. And if we had the time, energy and money we could restore it to the amazing glory it was designed for.
Or we could sell it for scrap and purchase something modern, up to date and won’t shit itself every 4 years or 4000 miles.
