As our holier than thou politicians and SJWs declare war on history. Judging the past from their enlightened and better educated than us po’folks pedestals with extreme prejudice and great fervor. It’s my solemn duty to point out, once again, the fallacy of their thinking.
1- You can’t learn from the past if it’s been erased. Sometimes the lessons of the past are painful and ugly. That way they sink in and stick. Kind of like getting smacked with the yardstick as a kid. It hurt a lot and you thought Mom or Dad was evil incarnate because of it but you never forgot that lesson. Right?
He who controls the past, controls the living present and therefore the future. – PE
2- Who decides what goes and what stays? Seems to me that the people pushing for disappearing history are the same people who have the free time to get offended by things We the People don’t have time to give two shits about.
Hello non-white person of a socioeconomic group a few levels below where i see myself. My name is Skye Blew, I’m a graduate student from the University of Some College you could never get into much less afford and I’m here to tell you that you should be outraged by these statues in places you will never go because you are poor. Prior to last year these statues, these horribly offensive statues, were part of the blurry background of most major cities, only used by birds as an outhouse or homeless people as a bed. Nobody noticed because nobody cared. Since we were off school this summer, my friends and I who are lucky enough to not have to work, have decided to be offended for you. Isn’t that great? You’re welcome. Hey, can we take a selfie? I’ve never seen real poor people before!
