While we are all focused on “righting” the wrongs of the past or “canceling” those we disagree with. Pointing fingers of blame and intolerance at “they” and “them” who don’t think or act like we do. Demanding special treatment for “us” but not “them”. Because “we” are superior to them because we say so. They are inferior because they are not as smart, enlightened or as caring as “we” are.
While all of them are distracted with their witch hunts and counter witch hunts. Hating their neighbors, friends and family for a difference of opinion. Giving their devotion, loyalty and, some of them, their souls to politicians and academics who don’t give a FUCK about them, their family, their friends or their very existence. Unless it’s votes or money.
While the country is busy erasing the past and sanitizing the present, we are losing our future.
