I was watching something about a people trying to prevent a bunch of Nazis having a rally and march in their town. They took it to court but the court ruled that they have the Constitutional right to assemble etc,etc. And yes they do, despite being scum of the earth. The people of The town were pissed and yelled and threw things at the shit heels during their march. Totally forgetting that is exactly the reaction they were looking for.
Let’s imagine a coalition of Nazis, White Supremicists and The World ANTI-GLBTQ Coalition want have an assembly in Annapolis. They want to have a rally down at the end of City Dock. Where nice brick area is. Then a march down Dock street, passing the Market House and up Main St to Church circle. Take a right onto College Ave stopping right in front of some impressive looking government building for speeches and a photo op.
People’s first inclination would be to protest the protest and line the route with anger and insults. Maybe even some physical confrontations. Slightly cathartic but not very effective or productive.
I say, stay home. Don’t go downtown. All the businesses along the route close. People pull your boats out of Ego Alley. Make it a ghost town. Show them we give less than a fuck about them or what they have to say. Total dismissal. That would fuck with their heads.
A lot.
But there are many emotional types that haven’t learn to master their anger and need to confront people like that. So this will never happen.
Shame. It would be fun.
