Whomever controls the past, controls the living present and therefore the future.

I have never understood why everyone is so focused on the past. Nothing can change the past. No matter what you do, how much you cancel and give lip service to change, nothing will change what has happened. But by focusing on the past, the powers that be are keeping us from focusing on their screwing up the present. And thus ruining any future We the People might have.
