It’s been a long time.

Over the past few months life has totally been an end of level boss battle. It’s been kicking my ass. It’s kicking everyone’s ass, so nothing new. Same shit, in everyone’s own special way. You are not alone! Lol But this isn’t about me we won’t dwell on my shit. Maybe some other time.

Now what could be so important that it pulled me out of apathy and set finger to virtual keyboard? Has the shit show of our society gotten any better? Get real! Did my pessimism about the fate of our nation improve? Not a chance in hell. Does anyone else wonder why we are being inundated with COVID-19 Home Test Kits? Yes. Have I been wonder why certain parties believe requiring an ID in order to vote is considered voter suppression. A little bit.

Here in Maryland the government is giving out a two test home test kit to everyone. One per person, first come first served, supplies are most likely limited, ID required. And now the post office is sending out 4 kits per household. We will have 12 tests. Being vaxxed and boosted or we identify as Veed & Beed.

So, if I am Veed & Beed, why the need for all this home nasal rape? Seems like overkill to me. But hey, we all took the only vaccine ever given where you still need to wear a mask and avoid contact after you take it. But hey, what do I know, I just cook food for a living and have an overactive imagination which loves to ponder all the wonderful ways our Government fucks things up. Intentional or not. I’m sure the ostracization of the unvaxxed will be involved somehow. The latest in the ever growing things dividing our country.

I’m not sure what the problem with requiring an ID in order to vote. I need an ID to get my free home test kits. I need an ID to drive a car, cash my paycheck, as small as it is, and ID to get served alcohol or purchase tobacco products. All which are important actions but nowhere near as important as casting your ballot. If it’s so difficult for some folks to obtain identification then make it easier and more accessible! Here in Maryland you have to make an appointment at MVA which sometimes takes months. I’m sure it’s the same everywhere. Why not have ID kiosks at the mall so more people have better access to getting an ID so they can vote.

It seems like our politicians love to point out the problems we have, most caused by them, but never feel like coming up with solutions that would actually solved said problems. But we already knew that.
